What a complete video intercom system includes

Door stations. Cameras, call buttons and tenant directory at the main entrance, side doors or gates — for condo entrances we often quote the 2N IP Verso; more options are in the intercom catalog.
Indoor stations and apps. Wall-mounted indoor monitors, a cloud video intercom with mobile app, or both – depending on how residents prefer to answer.
Door unlock control. An apartment intercom system with door release is only as good as the electric strike, maglock or access controller behind it — we wire and test that side too.
Network and power. Proper PoE switches, cabling and surge protection so the system stays stable in Chicago weather.

What matters for Chicago-area intercom installs

Weather and vandal resistance. Door stations must handle wind, snow and temperature swings, and still look presentable at the front entrance.
Vestibules and multiple doors. Chicago entrances are rarely one door: inner and outer vestibule doors, side entries, garage man-doors. We plan the call flow and door release across all of them, including delivery access so Amazon and USPS drivers are not buzzing every unit.
Clean wiring paths. We use existing risers when possible and add new cabling in a way that respects the building and future service needs.
Resident onboarding. For multifamily projects we help boards and managers with simple instructions on how to use apps, buzzers and indoor stations.
