Made for the frames the old readers lived on
Walk any Chicago storefront strip and look at the door frames: narrow aluminum mullions with a slim prox reader screwed on sometime in the 2000s. A single-gang reader physically does not fit there. The B-BSPMF does — same footprint class as the readers it replaces, so the frame keeps its cutout and the door keeps its look.
Because it is tri-technology, the old cards stay valid past installation day. The 125 kHz radio reads them as before, while the 13.56 MHz side and Brivo Mobile Pass phones come online immediately. Hardware notes
Sealed housing rated for outdoor mounting — storefront duty in January included. LED and beeper answer every read, Bluetooth has a separate indicator, and the anti-tamper screw needs its special key rather than a screwdriver. On Brivo panels it connects over OSDP, which carries the secure channel and the phone-entry features; Wiegand mode covers third-party controllers. Warranty is 5 years.
B-BSPMF-B is the black version, B-BSPMF-W the white one. The color is the only difference between the two part numbers — $324 MSRP either way.
