Where we install & service security systems

7DVR.com focuses on condos, HOAs, multifamily buildings and businesses in the Chicago region — from downtown Chicago and the lakefront up through the North Shore, and west along the O’Hare corridor all the way to Schaumburg and Vernon Hills.

We design, install and support security cameras, access control, video intercoms, networking and low-voltage systems across this corridor, with free estimates and 50% off the first service visit for new service clients.

Types of properties we focus on

Our work is centred around shared buildings and commercial properties where multiple people rely on the same infrastructure every day. Typical projects include:

  • Mid-rise and high-rise condo and apartment buildings
  • Garden-style multifamily complexes and townhome communities
  • Homeowners associations (HOAs) with shared amenities and garages
  • Mixed-use buildings with retail on the first floor and residences above
  • Office buildings, professional suites and medical practices
  • Small warehouses, light industrial spaces and service businesses
  • Parking structures, gated lots and stand-alone garages

We can also help with larger single-family homes and small apartment buildings when they need professional-grade cameras, access control or networking instead of DIY systems.

Within the City of Chicago we regularly work in neighbourhoods where there are many multifamily buildings and mixed-use properties. Common areas include:

Not sure if your building is inside our service area?

If your property is just outside the cities and suburbs listed above, we may still be able to help — especially for larger multifamily or commercial projects. We occasionally travel further into the western and northern suburbs for the right scope.

Send us the address, a short description of the building and what you need help with. We will confirm whether we can take the project directly or recommend a different approach.

Service area – common questions

Do you work in downtown Chicago high-rises?

Yes. We design and support security camera, access control and intercom systems in high-rise and mid-rise buildings in the Loop, River North, Streeterville, West Loop and South Loop, often coordinating with building management and existing IT vendors.

Do you charge extra travel fees for suburbs like Schaumburg or Vernon Hills?

For most projects within our standard corridor (Chicago, North Shore, O’Hare area, Schaumburg, Vernon Hills and Libertyville) there are no separate travel fees. For sites further out we will discuss any additional costs clearly in advance.

Do you work on the South Side of Chicago?

Our main focus is the North Side, downtown and near-south neighbourhoods such as South Loop, Bronzeville and Hyde Park. For other South Side locations we review projects individually based on size and schedule.

Can you support multiple buildings in different suburbs?

Yes. Many of our clients have portfolios of buildings across Chicago, the North Shore and northwest suburbs. We can design standardised camera and access control templates and then roll them out across multiple addresses.

Do you only work with condos and HOAs?

No. Condos and HOAs are a big part of our work, but we also handle small business, office and light industrial sites — especially when they need professional camera coverage, secure access control and reliable networking.

How do I know if my address is a good fit?

If your building is in or between Chicago, the North Shore, the O’Hare corridor, Schaumburg or Vernon Hills, it is almost certainly within our area. The fastest way to confirm is to send us the address and a short description via the Contact page.

Ready to talk about your building?

Whether you manage a condo association in Wilmette, a mixed-use building in West Loop, a warehouse near O’Hare or an apartment complex in Schaumburg or Vernon Hills, we can help design a realistic security and low-voltage plan.

Estimates are free, and new service clients receive 50% off the first service visit for troubleshooting and diagnostics.
