Why we publish ready-made solutions

When you start thinking about a security upgrade, it is hard to guess what exactly you need: how many cameras, what kind of recorder, whether you need access control, how a modern video intercom works, and how everything connects to your network.

Instead of showing only individual products, we publish complete example systems: where devices are placed, what problems they solve and how they are supported over time. These are not theoretical “demo kits” – they are based on the kinds of projects we actually build in Chicago area.

Solutions for homes

For single-family homes and townhomes in Winnetka, Wilmette, Evanston and nearby suburbs we usually design compact, focused systems:

  • 4–6 camera home system. Coverage for front door, driveway, backyard and key side paths, with a small NVR and mobile access.
  • Home + detached garage. Separate building cameras, proper PoE and possibly a point-to-point link if running cable is not practical.
  • Home with video intercom. Front door station with video and audio, integration with door lock and mobile app.

These designs focus on clear images where it matters, simple operation for the household and clean installations that do not turn living spaces into equipment rooms.

Solutions for small business and offices

Small offices, retail locations and service businesses usually care about entries, cash and storage – and about being able to review events quickly when something happens. Typical systems include:

  • Camera coverage for entrances, POS and stock rooms. With recording tuned for business hours and motion patterns.
  • Basic access control on staff doors. So keys do not have to be reissued every time someone leaves.
  • Networking that separates business systems from guests. To keep things stable and reduce risk.

In this category we aim for systems that are reliable and easy to use day-to-day, without adding unnecessary complexity or subscription cost.

Solutions for multifamily and HOA buildings

Multifamily buildings in Chicago and North Shore have their own patterns: shared lobbies, elevators, mail rooms, garages, bike rooms and storage areas. Good security design has to fit how residents, guests, delivery drivers and service vendors move through the building.

  • Video intercom at the main entrance. With directory, mobile apps and integration with access control.
  • Cameras in lobbies, mail rooms, garages and loading areas. Coverage that makes it realistic to review incidents, not just “record everything”.
  • Access control on main doors, garage and back entries. Fobs or cards instead of uncontrolled keys and codes.
  • Structured networking and power. PoE switches, power supplies and surge protection sized for all devices.

Boards and property managers also need clear documentation and predictable support. Our example solutions for condo and HOA buildings reflect that.

Next: individual solution pages

Over time this section will contain individual pages such as:

  • Video intercom and entry system for a 12–24 unit condo building.
  • 4–8 camera system for a single-family home with detached garage.
  • Access control and cameras for a small office or retail space.
  • Full system for a mid-size multifamily building with garage and elevators.

Each solution will link to relevant products in the catalog, so you can see what hardware is used and why it was chosen for that type of property.

If you already know roughly what kind of system you need, you do not have to wait for a perfect matching example — you can simply contact us and describe your building or home in a few sentences.
